Taiwan Simmons

As a product of a broken home, Taiwan Simmons learned early on in life that family is not always your biological parents. These experiences, which included a near-death event, being in foster care and overcoming self-esteem issues at an early age helped Taiwan develop a passion and heart to connect with diverse populations and become an active part of the solution to the growing need for more caring citizens in the community.

With a special emphasis on young inner-city youth, Taiwan acted on his desires when he agreed to team up with now wife Dr. Sh’nai Simmons to become foster, then adoptive parents. Because he understood the need to go the extra mile, he sought ways to bring more resources into the community. Known to many as “Coach,” In 1997, Taiwan accepted his first coaching assignment and has spent over two decades helping young men and women succeed as a track and football coach, Chess instructor, trainer for father’s out of prison reintegrating back into their children’s lives, a ropes & initiatives course trainer for the military with a focus on family enrichment, a mentor for men and young men in high school in Hillsborough County. It is through these actions that Taiwan has had a meaningful impact in the lives of many.

Pastor Tai, as he is know in the community, is a licensed and Ordained minister, has an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Organizational Leadership, a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and is professionally trained through Dale Carnegie, AMA as well as several advanced-management training programs.
