Adverse Childhood Experiences fueled her passion for mental health. Emerald is a graduate student at Capella University studying Clinical Psychology. She aspires to be a child psychologist and open up her own private practice. As the oldest of six girls, Emerald has always had a passion for helping children and an interest in their mental health.

Born and raised in Tampa, Florida she understands the need for mental health advocates in the African-American community.
